When it comes time to cut the cake, it’s important that you the MC has told everyone what is about to happen before it happens. Check there’s a knife, and ensure everyone is ready. This means letting the guests know it’s coming up, and make sure videographer and wedding photographer know ahead of time. Too often they’re scrambling for their cameras because the MC has decided now is a good time to make the announcement.
As always, before doing ANY of this, make sure the bride and groom are ready.
